Belgium celebrated its National Day on Friday, July 21, 2023, to commemorate its history and celebrate the 10th anniversary of the reign of King Philippe. On this Day, King Leopold I took the constitutional throne as the first King of Belgium in 1831.
As per the Update, the Belgium National Day is celebrated on July 21 every year to commemorate and honour the greatness of King Leopold I took the constitutional throne as the first King of Belgium in 1831. This year, the National Day also coincides with the 10th anniversary of King Philippe’s reign, making it a significant day in Belgian history.
The celebrations begin on the 20th with the Bal National at the Place du Jeu du Balle and end on the evening of the 21st with the “Happy Belgium” concert in Cinquantenaire Park, followed by a laser, light and fireworks display.
To celebrate this special day for Belgium, the Federal Government organised various activities in Belgium from the day before the special day, i-e, on July 20, 2023.
