Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit, the Prime Minister of commonwealth of Dominica shared highlights of the development projects being executed by the government. He termed these projects as the stepping stone for country towards the overall progress in the coming years.
While taking to his official Facebook page PM Skerrit shared video showcasing construction work on sites being done on full swing. PM stated, “It is pleasure for all of us to share progress updates on some of the key projects. These are exceptional project that will definitely shapes future of developed and progressive Dominica.”
At the same time PM Skerrit said, these projects reflects government’s commitment for country’s development and social welfare. In addition,he assured to take more such initiative in this direction and arrange funds for development projects.
It is to be noted that under the visionary leadership of PM Roosevelt Skerrit, Dominica is heading toward writing new success stories of development. The new initiatives of Dominica’s government under leadership of PM Skerrit ranges from construction of international Airport to renewable energy initiatives, housing developments and infrastructure improvements.
The video shows ongoing work of Geothermal energy projects. Prime Minter Skerrit has reiterated his pledge to make Dominica world’s first climate-resilient nation by 2030. Geothermal energy projects aimed to build infrastructure to enhance Dominica’s renewable energy capabilities.
Another project highlighted in the video is cable car project. It is worth the mention that this will be longest cable car project of world. The project although is under construction has gained worldwide attention. The recent list of BBC on top 25 places to visit in 2025 also shed light on importance of this project.
Further he emphasized on the construction of Cabrits Marina project in Portsmouth. At the inauguration ceremony of this project PM Skerrit underlined, “This project will bring dynamic change in living of Portsmouth community members through economic boost.”
Similarly, projects like Thibaud Primary School, Calibishie Primary School, Tete Morne Primary School along with Dominica Grammar School are also mentioned in the video shared by PM Skerrit.
Additionally, Eggleston housing development, Penville housing development, East coast road project are some of the projects that reflect vision and commitment of PM Skerrit for country’s development.
The netizens while reacting to PM Skerrit’s post also lauds progressive journey of country. A Facebook user Reggie Thomas commented, “These programs will indeed be transformational upon completion.”
