France: Reining Champions sealed their spot in Quater-finals after defeating Poland 3-1

After overcoming Poland 3-1, defending champions France advanced to the World Cup quarterfinals. As a result of scoring three goals without allowing their opponents to score once, France easily won the game. In the waning moments of the contest, Poland was given a penalty, which Lewandowski expertly converted into a goal.

However, France had already been victorious after scoring three goals, and the penalty was awarded in the final minute of extra time after the 90-minute mark. In the 44th minute of the game, Olivier Giroud scored the game’s first goal to break Thiery Henry’s record for most goals scored for France.

The French captain and striker for AC Milan have 116 international appearances and 52 goals. At the age of 36, he is most likely playing the final World of their career while giving it their all.

France won the game after two goals from Kylian Mbappe, who scored one in the 74th and another in the 90th minute to give his nation a 3X lead and guarantee their place in the quarterfinals. Argentina, England, and France have already advanced to the quarterfinals. At Lusail Stadium on December 7, Ronaldo’s Portugal will take on Switzerland.

Kylian Mbappe scored a goal against Austria in addition to two braces during the World Cup in Qatar. Mbappe is the world cup’s leading scorer right now. He significantly impacted the World Cup of 2018, scoring twice against Argentina in the semifinal.

For Polish fans, the matchday didn’t go very well because their country was ousted from the World Cup. France will play in their third consecutive World Cup Quarterfinal after defeating Poland.
