The French Embassy in Ghana welcomed the children from 9 schools to celebrate the National French Day in advance on Monday, July 11, 2023, to recall the French language and gather the values of liberty, equality and fraternity.

Over the Visit of children from 9 schools in Ghana, the French Embassy in Ghana extended its heartfelt pleasure to meet the children and conduct several lessons to teach students about the values and beliefs the French language shared and impacted into each other’s lives.

The National French Day or Bastille Day is France’s National holiday celebrated annually on July 14. On this Day, the Major, the French Revolution, and the Fête de la Fédération celebrated the unity of the French people.

The politician Benjamin Raspail first announced the National French Day in 1880 after submitting a motion to declare July 14 the National Day: a date shared between the Fête de la Fédération — a symbol of unity for the right.

To remark on the special Day of National French Day or Bastille Day, the French Embassy in Ghana also shared some glimpses of the celebration of the Day with the children.

As per the Update, the Children had the excellent opportunity to celebrate the National Day of France and recall its historical value and greatness during the French Revolution.

The Embassy celebrated the Day as an opportunity for them to put on shows using the French language and gather around the values of liberty, equality & fraternity. Along with children, dignitaries from various sectors were also present at the event. The Embassy expressed gratitude to all of them for successfully marking the occasion.
