As the COVID-19 infection has surged in the country, Germany has added a total of 12 countries and regions in their list called “high-risk”, which identifies by the particular country that another country may possess a threat of the infection caused by SARS-CoV-2 to them.

Further, the list called high-risk countries has included nations such as Singapore, Oman, Pakistan, and Ukraine also included in the list.

On Sunday, January 30, 2022, as per the complete list, the name of the countries which have moved to the country’s high-risk category. Moreover, other than these countries, the other countries in the list are Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cuba, New Caledonia (French overseas territory), Guatemala, Iraq, Kyrgyzstan, Oman, Pakistan, Palau, Singapore and Ukraine.

After this, the travellers have to show the proof of the vacation or the recovery from the novel coronavirus; then they would get entry into the country; however, they don’t have to go the for the isolation against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Further, the people who want to visit from the countries such as Angola, Burundi, Eswatini, Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Rwanda, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe, Germany could now get entry without any restrictions of the COVID-19. This is due to the reason that these countries have been removed from the high-risk category by Germany.

Further, around 150 countries across the globe are still under the high-risk categories of the country as the infection caused by the Omicron variant of the novel coronavirus has increased and shown its massive level in the country.

The travellers who are unvaccinated from the high-risk categories have to present the negative report of the COVID-19, and they also have to undergo the 10-day self-isolation period; however, the test should come on the fifth day. So, the travellers from the high-risk destinations have to fill out a digital registration form when they arrive in Germany, and the vaccination status is not included.
