Nick Jonas is the third son of Denise (née Miller) and Paul Kevin Jonas, and was born in Dallas, Texas. Jonas’ father is a songwriter, guitarist, and former ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. His mother is a former sign language teacher and also a singer. His mother homeschooled him when he was growing up in Wyckoff, New Jersey.

Nick Jonas: Career Highlights

Jonas started acting in theater at the age of seven, and in 2002, he released his debut single. As a result, it caught the attention of Columbia Records, and he formed the Jonas Brothers with his older brothers, Joe and Kevin. In 2006, the group released their first studio album, “It’s About Time”, on the Columbia label. 

They later signed with Hollywood Records after leaving Columbia Records. Following that, in 2007, the group released their self-titled second studio album. It was their breakout single. Subsequently, the band gained a large following. 

The Jonas Brothers have also starred in two of their own shows, “Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream” (2008–2010) and “Jonas” (2009–2010). They were a part of the famous musical television film “Camp Rock” and its sequel “Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam”  as well.

Jonas, who was diagnosed with Type I diabetes at the age of thirteen, manages his condition with the aid of an insulin pump. The Change for the Children Foundation is his brainchild. Their mission is to raise money and awareness for diabetes, by partnering with five different charities.

From June 2006 to December 2007, Jonas dated Miley Cyrus, another Disney star. He later had a friendship with Selena Gomez, whom he met in 2008. Jonas then began dating Australian singer Delta Goodrem in May 2011. However, in February of 2012, they called it quits. After that, Jonas began dating Olivia Culpo, a fashion influencer, in 2013. After nearly two years of dating, they called it quits in 2015. 

In Greece, he proposed to Indian actress and singer Priyanka Chopra on her birthday on July 18, 2018. On August 18, 2018, the couple celebrated their engagement in Mumbai. Finally, on December 1, the couple got married at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India.
