The facility is being introduced in order to provide an upgraded working environment to all the fisherman for their comfortable and enhanced living.

This highly awaited jetty and washroom facility will play a huge role in bringing much needed relief to the people of the constituency. The administration led by PM Pierre has finally ended many years of hardships being faced by the fishers of Micoud North.

Notably, Micoud North is a proud fishing community and the fishers of the area will no longer have to deal with improvised and unsafe near-shore departures. The new Micoud North jetty will serve as a gateway for generations of Micoud North fishers. It will offer an earning to them in order to feed their families and community.

The Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J Pierre congratulated Jeremiah Norbert on Promise Made, Promise Delivered project. He also asked him to keep serving the people and provide them with best and comfortable amenities for their enhanced standard of living.

Moreover, the representative for the constituency, Jeremiah Norbert emphasised on the project and stated that this was all about putting fisherfolk first. While sharing about the problems being faced by the fisherfolk, the Parliamentary Representative added that they were without jetty and washroom facility for almost a decade.

He asserted that the fisherfolk had to enter the cold waters and navigate their way through the sargassum and had nowhere to properly secure their boats. He further remarked that he promised all those fisherfolk that he would resolve all their issues and problems, if they gave him an opportunity to represent them.

He stated that after decades of promises, he was never going to disappoint them and finally he opened the state-of-the-art Jetty and washroom facility for the fisherfolk in Micoud. He also extended gratitude to Prime Minister Philip J Pierre for ensuring that this was a priority of the administration. He further noted that they will continue to make efforts to put their fisherfolk first and their plights and agony are always noticed.
