Nigerian Politician and Environmental and Human rights activist from the Niger Delta region, Comrade Sunny Ofehe and his wife were grateful to join their traditional Monarchs and Royal fathers from the Ijaw ethnic communities in Paris on Sunday, September 10, 2023.
As per the Update, The Delegation paid a condolence visit to Paris regarding the passing of the Late Nigerian Ambassador to France, Ambassador Kayode Laro. The Delegation was led by His Royal Majesty (HRM), the Pere of Gbaramatu Kingdom HRM Williams Oboro Gbaraun II and four other Royal Majesties and their Queens.
Other Royal Fathers include the Agadagba of Arogbo (Ondo State) HRM (Barrister) Z.O. Egbunu (JP) Opukutu III, the Agadagba of Gbaraun Kingdom (Bayelsa State) HRM Pere Frank Okiakpe, Egbesuwei Gbaraun X, the Agadagba of Gbaraun Kingdom, also is the Agadagba of Olodiama Kingdom (Edo State) HRM Godwin Ogounyinbo, Alagbabinafa III and the Pere of Tubutoru Kingdom (Ondo State) HRM Ogonikara Eseimikumoh I. The traditional Kings were accompanied by their Queens and a few aides.
Comrade Sunny Ofehe and his wife and their delegations were received by the Head of Mission at the Nigerian Embassy in Paris by Ambassador Tunde Mustapha, who welcomed their Delegation and thanked the Royal Fathers for their show of love and patriotism to the country.
During their visit, Comrade Sunny Ofehe and the delegations expressed their grief and sorrow on the sudden death of the Nigerian Ambassador to France, Ambassador Kayode Laro, while on active duty was a massive loss to their great country.
They also noted Ambassador Laro’s diplomatic experience and achievements in fostering the bilateral relationship between Nigeria and France. They stated that he provided an open and cordial relationship between the embassy and the Nigerian community in France.
They added, “His hallmark achievements will be remembered as his legacy. May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.”
