Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have welcomed their second child. The daughter is named Lilibet Diana. The couple made an official announcement through their Archewell website; they said, ” On June 4, we have were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. Meghan Markle gave birth on Friday at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, California.
Harry has named his baby daughter Lilibet”Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, his mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother names combined. Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton congratulated the couple on the birth of their daughter. Despite the rift in the royal household, the family celebrates the birth of Prince Harry’s daughter Lili.
Later, uncle and aunt Prince William and Kate Middleton posted a photograph with Meghan and Harry, son, Archie. “We are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili,” the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, who have three children of their own, wrote. “Congratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie.”
The couple’s daughter’s name is a tribute to the leading mothers of the royal families, and Buckingham palace also acknowledges this and later congratulated the couple.
“The Queen, The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall and The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have been informed and are happy with the news of the birth of a daughter for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.” Later the royal family also posted the celebratory message on Instagram.
Daughter Lili is the fifth grandchild of Prince Charles, who Harry himself has revealed in Oprah Winfrey’s interview that their father has stopped taking the calls of their younger son. The couple has met the royal family this April for their grandfather Prince Philip.
Unlike her brother Archie, born in England, Frogmore Cottage at Windsor Lili was born on American soil, making her second child of the royal family not held at home. Previously Maud Windsor, daughter of Lord Frederick and Sophie Winkelman.
