Mystery writer Jacqueline Winspear, Kent, England, posted an update after a while on her social media handle on February 28, 2023, informing about her new book, ‘The White Lady’, which came out on Thursday, March 19, 2023, and shared his life experience.
It’s been several days since he posted, but finally, she came up with a new book, ‘The White Lady,’ coming out on march 2023; she has been swamped as she took a few days off to go skiing with her two friends she has skied with every year for about the last 12 years.
Talking about her friends, she said she first met Betsy and Maree some years ago while attending a women’s skin clinic in Utah with former Olympian Holly Flanders – Maree was one of Holly’s assistant instructors, which she adds as a substantial personal treat.
She wrote, “a getaway before my book tour, which terrified everyone at my publisher because the big question was, how do you send someone on a book tour on crutches? They breathed a sigh of relief when I assured them I had arrived home safe and sound”.
She also shared that even his editor would get nervous because he rides horses, which have yet to be precisely accident-free. There may not have been Maisie Dobbs without a prolonged recovery following surgery for a broken humerus and crushed shoulder in 2001.
She wrote, “If you remember the story, I couldn’t bear spending all that healing time languishing at home without something to show for it – so I finished a novel I’d started just a short time before being thrown from my horse”. Last year, she declared that it would be his last year on skis. she did the same a week ago – “This is it!” she said. “My last year – I’m giving away my skis!!” Let’s see if I stick to that because I enjoy skiing”.
She adds, “The good thing is that I’m less attached to spending every minute of the winter vacation on the slopes. Maree was working last Thursday – she lives locally – so Betsy and I turned up at the slopes, and from the comfort of our car in the Deer Valley parking lot, we looked up at the mountain, at the fog, the blizzard-like snow and after consulting the thermometer, we decided to go for a coffee and take a walk around the Park City shops – which gave me time to visit Dolly’s Bookshop on Main Street, one of those great bookstores I love dropping into.”
At last, she says, It wasn’t quite a five-day vacation as she still had to do the work while away. At this time, she also had to complete questionnaires relating to her new book – THE WHITE LADY – for various book-related media outlets, so there were a few to attend. she was working on her last pre-publication newsletter as well. she was interviewed for a podcast, too, so She is doing several of those and says she’ll post them online as soon as they’re available.
