Russia targets grain terminals, damages ports of Odesa and Čornomorsk

Promote Ukraine, a Brussels-based organization, provided detailed information about the attacks launched by the Russian Federation on different regions of Ukraine. It was a powerful strike with varying types of rockets and impact drones in the southern region of Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Development of Communities, Ukraine’s Territories and Infrastructure were severely damaged due to the attack that affected the ports of Odesa and Čornomorsk. There was damaged infrastructure of international and Ukrainian traders, as well as reservoirs and docks involved in the work of the grain corridor.

The Brussels-based organization condemns Russian Federation for launching missile strikes claiming that attack on grain terminals is an act of aggression against the world. They explained that launching attacks on grain terminals aims to destroy any means of grain supply on the world markets.

“Russia is clashing not only with Ukraine but also threatening entire populations of Africa and Asia, for which this grain is a matter of survival. The world must protect grain and port infrastructure. This is a guarantee, first of all, for the world’s food security,” said Alexander Kubrakov, Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, stated this during a meeting with permanent representatives of a group of African countries at the UN.

“By exiting the Grain Deal,” Russia has endangered the lives of millions of people around the world, primarily in Africa and Asia.” I sincerely believe that our close relationship, partnership and active interaction can help resolve many problems, including those related to the export of Ukrainian grains to the world market,” the minister said.

Yesterday, for more than seven hours, Russian zarbniks attacked almost the entire territory of Ukraine – it was the most massive in recent times. The attack was X-22 rockets, Caliber, Onyx and Shahedas. Air Force claims to destroy 37 air targets.

In the Odessa district, there was a hit in an industrial facility where a civilian employee was injured. Two warehouse premises were also damaged. Six people were injured due to broken glass, including a 9-year-old boy.
