Saint Lucia: Prime Minister Philip J Pierre celebrated the Jounen Kweyol festivities with Government Departments on Saturday, October 28, 2023. He was pleased to see the Public’s participation at the event.
He also encouraged people to attend their three host communities to continue this year’s Creole celebration.
Prime Minster Philip J Pierre extended his pleasure to see local communities participating in the event. He took to his Official social media handle to mark the festivities and encourage the people to be part of the celebration.
Marking the event On his Official Facebook handle, he shared, “Despite the rainy weather today, I celebrated the Jounen Kwéyòl festivities with a few Government departments.”
Prime Minister Philip highlighted the nation’s alive culture and said, “Our culture is alive and well, and I was heartened to see the participation and ownership by the public.”
Further, he encourages everyone to attend the three host communities, Mabouya Valley, Canaries & Soufrière, on Sunday to continue this year’s Creole festivities.
“Bon Fête Kwéyòl Tout Moun!” he asserted.
Recently, Prime Minister Philip also urged people to indulge in the festivities. “As the festivities come to an end, let me encourage everyone to go out to the three host communities (Mabouya Valley, Canaries & Soufrière) and indulge in our local cuisine and beverages while enjoying the different cultural showcases on display,” he urged.
“Have a safe and enjoyable Jounen Kwéyòl Celebration Sent Lisi!” he asserted.
The audience’s reaction to his social media post was inspiring and supportive. They sprinkled many blessings on his official Facebook handle and said, “Every time I see you, Mr Pm gou brighten me. Keep on keeping on. The almighty God is your guide. God bless,” “Let us celebrate our culture well done, Mr PM,” “Blessings to you, our prime Minister And all Lucians together we stand, One love.”
