St Kitts and Nevis: The government of St Kitts and Nevis unveiled new aprons and taxiways at the Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw (RLB) International Airport on Tuesday.
The aim of the newly designed apron is to improve operational efficiency and security at RLB International Airport. Also, it ensures a smoother experience for airlines and the passengers.
Considerably, the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Terrance Drew, attended the opening ceremony and expressed his delight at the new progress.
He added that St Kitts and Nevis is making steady progress towards a sustainable island nation. Prime Minister Drew expressed his pride in seeing continued expansion as they serve the people of the nation and the world.
Also, he added that St Kitts and Nevis’ this development by aprons and taxiways at the RLB International Airport is a testament to the progress and readiness to be a major competitor in the tourism industry.
St. Christopher Airport and Seaports Authority (SCASPA) held a ceremony at Wednesday afternoon (December 20) to unveil the airport’s resurfacing work.
Significantly, the deputy prime minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis, Geoffrey Hanley, expressed wishes for the country as well.
He said that the new platform will increase passenger safety and improve the country’s economic prospects. He also congratulated Tourism Minister Marsha Henderson and her team for their excellent work in moving this project forward.
The ceremony held on the airport was attended by government ministers led by PM Terrance Drew and Tourism Minister Marsha Henderson, as well as officials from SCASPA and the Department of Tourism.
SCARPA hopes the upgraded apron will “increase the efficiency and safety of operations at RLB International Airport” by providing a more seamless experience for its partners in the aviation industry.
