Middachten Castle is located in the Dutch village De Steeg, in the Netherlands (municipality of Rheden) in Gelderland, near the river IJssel. The estate of Middachten surrounds it. It is a state-protected historic outdoor site with forty complex numbers. The castle was restored in 1967-1971. Middachten was included in 1991 by the Ministry of Welfare, Public Health and Culture (WVC) in the list of more than a hundred immovable monuments which need special protection in extraordinary circumstances.

The Passo dello Stelvio (German: Stilfserjoch) is a mountain pass in the Italian Alps at 2758 meters. The mountain pass is best known for its cycling stages in the Tour of Italy. The Passo dello Stelvio is one of the highest paved mountain passes in the Alps; the Col de l'Iséran, among others, is higher. The Col de la Bonette is lower, but because there is an extra loop at the top of the col, it is considered higher by some.

The Eiger is one of the most enormous mountains in the Oberland region in Switzerland, which is 3970 m high and is considered the most difficult to climb. Its steep north face is a classic challenge, known as the most dangerous route in Europe.
