Tranquility Beach Resort set to provide world-class experience by 2025: PM Skerrit

Roseau, Dominica: The much anticipated project of the commonwealth of Dominica, the Tranquility Beach Resort is all ready to serve its guests with a memorable experience by 2025. The details regarding the completion of the construction were shared by Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit during his recent visit to the site of the resort.

PM Roosevelt Skerrit is extremely optimistic about the pace the project is currently going on. He shared that Tranquility Beach Resort in its construction phase have given employment to around 200 Dominicans and after the completion it is expected to generate full-time permanent job opportunity for at least 100 people.

Prime Minister added that such landmark projects are possible due to the funds generated by the Citizenship by Investment Programme. Moreover, the PM added that the administration has been using the collected funds mindfully with the mindset of generating long-term income from a sustainable source.

During the visit to the site of Tranquility Beach Resort, PM Skerrit was accompanied by Minister of Tourism Denise Charles and Ian Edwards, the Dominican developer behind the project.

Minister Charles, named this property as unique and a milestone that Dominica will have, and will positively impact the country’s economy. Providing the description of the resort, minister shared that it includes 101 rooms, a conference hall that can have the capacity of accommodating 200 people. She also stated that this resort will provide an authentic experience.

Attractive facilities like rooftop bar which will provide the 360 view and also one can also have a view of Scotts Head , this was also revealed by Tourism Minister Charles. She even shared that they are positive about opening the property in 2025 before the Creole festival.

PM Roosevelt Skerrit commended the work done by Ian Edwards and Dominican men in bringing this exquisite property into reality. He expressed joy at the pace the work is going on. The PM also stated that such projects will not only generate revenue but also provide people of various sectors an opportunity to gain jobs.

Further, he added that projects like Tranquility Beach Resort generate tax revenue and will help Dominica become self-reliant and make it economically stable and strong to fight all the odds.

PM Skerrit also invited the students of interior design and architecture to visit the site and understand the construction process and receive hands on training.
