Austria cancels COVID-19 quarantine for people who are not showing any symptoms

People who were infected with COVID-19 will no longer have to go through quarantine period in Austria if they don’t show any symptoms, the country’s health minister revealed on Tuesday.
The alpine nation is dissolving compulsory quarantine for people who have tested positive but don’t feel ill, as per reports. The new rules and regulations will be coming into effect from next month.
However, infected people still requires to wear face masks if they leave their homes unless they are outside or can keep a distance of at least two meters (six feet) from others. They are also not permitted to enter places catering to specifically vulnerable people, such as hospitals, nursing homes or facilities, which are meant for the disabled.
The announcement was also made taking into account the pandemic’s psychological and social impact, Austrian Health Minister Johannes Rauch said.
He said that one must simply take note that we cannot live with this level of pandemic-related crisis mood for years. Compulsory reporting of COVID-19 infections to local health authorities remains in place.
