Brussels suffers under shortage of 9,000-12,000 students rooms: Report

Belgium: In the new report of Brik, which is an organisation for Dutch-speaking students in Brussels, it was claimed that the capital is suffering under shortage of 9,000 to 12,000 student rooms.

The rent is also increasing, and students are preferring to consider their studies in a different course, and the shortage is not witnessing a decline and is only growing.

Reportedly, there are around 100,000 students who are Dutch speakers and residing in Brussels. The director of Brik also stated that they only expect that the number of the students are growing with the expectation of 30,000 to 54,000 students.

This clearly stated that Brussels is in great need of an extra 20,000 to 55,000 new students room by 2030 as the actual number depends on the actual number with the variable factors. However, he started,” the problem is coming with the huge shortage which needs to be cured as soon as possible.”
