Bulgaria: Architectural Biennial 2023 hosts parallel events recently in Sofia & Venice

The Bulgarian pavilion at the Venice Architectural Biennial 2023 presented a parallel event recently in Sofia and Venice, Italy. The event took place At 11.30 in the Titiciano Hall in Venice and at the Regional Center for Contemporary Arts in Sofia; the event took place at the Bulgarian Pavilion in the meantime for an essential discussion over organizing the International Exhibition.

The Bulgarian pavilion at the Venice Architectural Biennial 2023 presents today’s parallel event – in Sofia and Venice. The Bulgarian pavilion shared that with the theme “Education is the movement from darkness to light”, the curator project with which the country participates in the international exhibition. The project was chosen after the national competition was organized by the Ministry of Culture, the Chamber of Architects in Bulgaria.

The Bulgarian pavilion also shared about the exhibition that raises essential questions: what the depopulation of many villages and regions entails, and how to breathe new life into hundreds of abandoned schools? These issues are the topic of today’s open discussion.

As per the reports, On May 18 this year, the Minister of Culture Nayden Todorov / Найден Тодоров opened the exhibition at the Bulgaria national pavilion in Venice. The successful choice of the Titiano Hall and the adjacent courtyard also helps the entire presentation of the Bulgarian project.

The Ministry of Culture managed to rent the exhibition space until 2025. , which is an excellent prerequisite for our country’s successful participation in the next edition of the prestigious Venice Forum.
In addition to the general exposition titled “Laboratory of the Future”, 63 countries participated with national pavilions at the 2023 Biennial of Architecture.
