Bulgarian Cultural Minister Nayden Todorov congratulates creators of culture

Bulgarian Cultural Minister Nayden Todorov congratulated all creators and workers of culture on the occasion of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius Day, of the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and Slavic literature on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

During his speech, The Bulgarian Cultural Minister, Nayden Todorov, expressed his gratitude to all the creators who worked effectively to organise the event. He said, “Dear creators and workers of culture and arts, I am happy to congratulate you on the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, of the Bulgarian alphabet, education and culture and Slavic literature!
Today is exceptional because it’s not liberation day, it’s not independence day, it’s not union day.”

Further, The Prime Minister added that its the most prominent holiday that helped them to feel free, independent and united simultaneously; he also emphasised the importance of every spirit in culture, adding, “If we have no spirit, if we have no culture – what kind of people will we be then ?! Therefore, Bulgaria has two big holidays – May 24 and November 1. These are the two holidays where we honour those people to whom we should always be grateful.”

In expressing his genuine pleasure to the creators, Nayden Todorov said that Spirituality needs its leaders. From people to be a light to others. This light is you – the people of culture and art, who make us a nation. You are one of the few who, Today, when we don’t have many occasions to do so, still make us feel proud.

At last, the minister expressed his gratitude and honoured the creators and workers of culture, but above all, as people who illuminate the path of others. And also especially Thanked them for what they are doing and what they have done, and I hope they will continue it.
