Bulgarian Ministry of Culture presents National Charity Fund Award “13 Centuries Bulgaria”

The National Charity Fund Award “13 Centuries Bulgaria” for contribution to the promotion of Bulgarian culture by Bulgarian-language media abroad was presented by the Bulgarian Ministry of Culture on Saturday, June 3, 2023, as part of the Eighteenth World Meeting of Bulgarian Media. The forum, organized by BTA, was held this year from 1 to June 4 in Kazanlak. The theme of the world meeting is “Media and freedom”.

The Bulgarian Ministry of Culture took to their official social media handle to share about the National Charity Fund Award “13 Centuries Bulgaria” being presented on Saturday, June 3, 2023, as part of the Eighteenth World Meeting of Bulgarian Media. as per the update, the 13 Centuries Bulgaria Award was presented for the promotion of Bulgarian culture by Bulgarian-language media.

As per the Bulgarian Ministry, The “13 Centuries Bulgaria” prize is presented every year by a jury consisting of the Chairman – the Director General of BTA, and members – the CEO of the Fund and the head of the BTA Public Relations Unit.

To receive the award, the media must make a proven contribution to the dissemination of Bulgarian culture within and outside the country in question; be bilingual, making it mandatory that the only language is Bulgarian; present sustainable and constructive themes in the field of Bulgarian culture in its program.

Reportedly, The National Charity Fund Award “13 Century Bulgaria” was established in 2013 in recognition of the efforts of Bulgarian journalists working abroad to preserve and popularize national culture.

This year the prize was awarded to the Bulgarian program on Australian Public Radio and Television “SBS” in Australia – BGN 2,000, with presenter Philly Ladjman, CEO of the Bulgarian section.

The award was presented by Mrs Adriana Meshkova, Expert, Competitions and Awards at the NDF “13 Centuries Bulgaria”.
The program has existed since 1946 and unites the Bulgarian diaspora in Australia.
