Commander of Ukraine Armed Forces Vice Admiral Alexei participates in Solemn ceremony, expresses pleasure

A Solemn ceremony was held in Glasgow, Scotland, part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Monday, June 26, 2023, with representatives from the 18 participating countries. The ceremony was dedicated to beginning the training complex within the Sea Breeze series of studies. The event took place with the participation of the Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vice Admiral Alexei Neizhpapa.

While Participating in the ceremony, the Commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vice Admiral Alexei Neizhpapa, expressed his pleasure and participation and added, “I would like to thank everyone for that in the conditions of the Russian war against Ukraine, we efficiently planned training and did everything necessary for its organized conduct. In particular, I would like to thank Great Britain and its military leadership for providing their territory and infrastructure for training and supporting the Ukrainian Navy 3C. I am very grateful to the Commander of the 6th fleet of the United States Navy for facilitating training and support, said the Commander of the military-marine forces of Ukraine, Vice Admiral Alexei Neizhpapa. – I am convinced that the future coordinated actions of the training participants will contribute to strengthening regional security and stability in the Black Sea,”

The training is run by the Commander of the Flotilla captain, one rank Yuri Fedash from the Ukrainian side.

The training complex’s main task in the Sea Breeze 2023 training framework is to prepare for planning and conducting counteractions. The main focus is preparing the headquarters of the tactical counteractions group for designing and conducting counteractions (operations) under NATO standards and procedures involving samples of weapons and military equipment that the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received from partner countries.

The preparation of anti-ships ВМС ЗС України of the Sandown class “Cherkasy” and “Chernihiv”, underwater mining groups and underwater drones for the conduct of counter actions as part of tactical groups.

The experience already gained by the crews of Ukrainian counter ships and the participating countries’ professionalism will ensure high training efficiency. The primary outcome of the Sea Breeze 2023 exercises will be the readiness of multinational forces to liberate the Black Sea from mine security and restore safe shipping.

Today, Tuesday, June 27, in the city of Glasgow, Scotland, which is part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, a solemn ceremony dedicated to the start of the “SEA BREEZE – 2023” training complex was held with the participation of representatives of 18 participating countries as part of the “Sea Breeze” exercise series. The event was held with the participation of the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa.

– I want to thank everyone that in the conditions of the Russian Federation’s war against Ukraine, we could plan the training well and do everything necessary for its organized implementation. Separately, I want to thank Great Britain and its military leadership for providing its territory and infrastructure for training and supporting the 3C Navy of Ukraine. I also want to thank the United States Navy for facilitating the exercise and for their support. – emphasized the Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa. – I am convinced that the future concerted actions of the exercise participants will contribute to strengthening regional security and stability in the Black Sea, – he added.

From the Ukrainian side, the flotilla commander, captain 1st Rank Yurii Fedash, controls the training.

The “SEA BREEZE – 2023” training complex’s main task is preparing for planning and conducting mine countermeasures. The main emphasis is on training the headquarters of the tactical mine action group to plan and execute mine action (operations) under NATO standards and procedures with the involvement of samples of weapons and military equipment that the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine received from partner countries. No less important is the preparation of mine countermeasure ships of the Navy of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, “Cherkasy” and “Chernihiv”, underwater demining groups and underwater uncrewed aerial vehicles to conduct mine countermeasures as part of tactical groups.

The experience already gained by the crews of the Ukrainian mine countermeasures ships and the participating countries’ professionalism will ensure the training’s high efficiency. The main result of “SEA BREEZE – 2023” will be the readiness of multinational forces to operate to free the Black Sea from mine security and restore safe navigation.
