Trilla On De Mic has won the Calypso Finals 2023 in Roseau, Dominica. The winner was declared out of the ten finalists who competed to win the competition.
The Dominica Festivals posted the information on social media on February 19, 2023. To the adoration of Kaiso! Ten finalists competed for the title during the 2023 Calypso Finals, which infused Carnival City with culture and music.
In congratulating the carnival winner, Dominica Festivals said, “Congratulations to Trilla On De Mic for winning the Calypso Monarch title with “De Boy Cut” and “Dick Taylor Ship.” He serves as the 2023 Calypso Monarch.
According to the latest information, this bouyon and kaiso performer won the Calypso Monarch competition for the first time by defeating the reigning King JayDee in 2020.
Dominica Festivals also released the list of competitors who were given a spot in the tournament.
1st place: Dice
2nd place: Daddy Chess
3rd place: Bobb
In another post, Dominica Festival congratulated Trilla-G on winning the Calypso Monarch 2023 title and remarked, “Well done! He competed with “Dick Taylor Ship” and “De Boy Cut,” two of his songs.
