Frace lifts travel restrictions for Uk
On Thursday, January 13, 2022, France has lifted all the travel restrictions from UK travellers, which enables the vaccinated visitors to visit the country from Friday.
As per the announcement of France government, with the eases of the curbs imposed last month on Britain travellers, immunised people don’t have to present a compelling reason to travel and no need to isolate themselves after arriving.
However, the government also asserted that the visitors must have the negative report of the Covid-19 test or the Antigen test. The travellers from the UK have to show the negative reports of these tests to the healthcare staff present at the airport. The test should be taken within 24 hours before travel.
Apart from this, the government has also decided to lift the ban on non-essential travel to the UK imposed on December 16, 2021, when the pandemic was at its peak in Britain, as per the report of the Prime Minister issued on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the daily Covid-19 cases of France have surpassed Britain and the authorities are “concerned about the widely spreading the contagious strain of Covid-19 called Omicron”.
With the decision of the French government, the thousands of winter sports enthusiasts will be allowed to head to the French Alps, which have been cancelled during Christmas and New Year.
However, the unvaccinated people still have to face restrictions to visit France.
As per protocol, the unvaccinated people have to provide compelling reason such as Family Emergency or something else and will have to get isolated for at least 10 days after the arrival at the address that will be checked by the security forces of the French.
The vaccinated people will not have to face all such restrictions or curbs from Friday, January 14, 2022.
Further, France is one of the countries in Europe which have faced the worst strain of COVID-19 and its new variant called Omicron.
