COVID-19 in Georgia
On Wednesday, February 2, 2022, a total of 26,320 people were exposed to the deadly viral infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 over the past 24 hours in Georgia.
On the other hand, over the past 24 hours in the country, a total of 44 people have lost their lives due to the infection caused by the novel coronavirus.
As per the status of recoveries, a total of 9,555 patients have been recovered from the deadly viral infection caused by the COVID-19 virus and discharged from the hospital facilities over the last 24 hours in the country.
Moreover, with the emergence of the new cases of the COVID-19 deadly viral infection in the country over the past 24 hours, the positivity rate of the novel coronavirus now stood at 23.40 percent.
Further, as per the status of the active cases of the COVID-19 pandemic, a total of 181,293 people have still been diagnosed with the deadly viral infection caused by the contagious mutant over the past 24 hours in the country. The number of cases is still active in Georgia.
Apart from this, the health ministry of the country have processed a total of 84,659 samples of the COVID-19 deadly viral infection and conducted the test against the novel coronavirus across the country over the past 24 hours.
The samples taken by the health facilities over the past 24 hours have been processed by the test of the novel coronavirus were taken by the two tests known as rapid test and PCR test of the deadly virus.
Out of the total of the tests, 59,912 samples of the novel coronavirus have been processed by the rapid tests. On the other hand, the remaining a total of 31,746 samples of the COVID-19 pandemic have been processed by the PCR test of the contagious mutant.
Since the pandemic has emerged in the country, a total of 1,226,44 confirmed cases of the COVID-19 virus have been reported in Georgia. As per the status of the Omicron variant of the COVID-19, a total of 1,754 cases have been reported since the variant has emerged.
