Luxemburg hosts reception at cultural centre Cercle Cité on Ukraine Independence Day

In Luxembourg, in the famous cultural centre Cercle Cité, a reception was held on the Independence Day of Ukraine, August 24, 2023. The Representatives of Luxembourg’s state and local authorities, European institutions, the diplomatic corps, the business community, and the Ukrainian community attended the event.

The Consul of Ukraine in Luxembourg, Claude Radoux, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg organised the reception. The Update was shared by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Belgium Yesterday, October 25, 2023.

The Chargée d’affaires of Ukraine in Luxembourg Nataliia Anoshyna emphasised the extraordinarily substantial assistance from Luxembourg to Ukraine and the Ukrainian people during her congratulatory speech.

She expressed her sincere gratitude to the Grand Duchy and the entire Luxembourg people for their constant support and solidarity with Ukraine from the first days of confronting Russia’s full-scale military aggression.

“Our path to Victory is common, and we overcome it together!” – noted Nataliia.

In turn, the Honorary Consul of Ukraine, Claude Radoux, assured that Ukraine is not alone in this challenging time and Ukrainians can continue to count on the help of Luxembourg.

The Embassy of Ukraine in the Kingdom of Belgium and the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg expresses extraordinary gratitude to the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Luxembourg, Claude Radoux, for the invaluable help and support of Ukraine over many years.

The Embassy also thanked the Consul for his contributions in defence of its interests, the critical role in the development of Ukrainian-Luxembourgish relations, the strengthening of cooperation between the states, and for powerful practical help from the Grand Duchy to form during the heroic resistance to the Russian occupier.

As part of the event, funds were collected for constructing a bomb shelter in the Dmytroshkiv Lyceum (Cherkasy Region) through the UNITED24 fundraising platform initiated by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The Embassy extended their pleasure in marking the event’s success and thanked everyone who contributed.
