Malaysians who receives Sinovac, permitted to travel to EU nations can receiver Pfizer: Jamaluddin

The Health Minister of Malaysia, named as, Khairy Jamaluddin, has mentioned in the statement that the Malaysian citizens who have completed the primary vaccination with Sinovac and are permitted to travel to several European countries can now receive a Pfizer additional dose.

The Minister acknowledged during a news conference that he is aware that Malaysians who have received the Sinovac vaccine suffer additional restrictions or are denied entrance to some EU nations. According to the sources, he has agreed to provide Pfizer booster doses upon request.

Moreover, Jamaluddin mentioned in the statement, “In order to help those who are facing difficulties when entering EU countries, we will offer them, Pfizer, as a booster shot upon request.”

Germany, Czechia, Lithuania, Iceland, as well as Malta are just some of the European Union nations that do not recognise vaccination passes that indicate that the holder has completed the vaccination process with the Sinovac vaccine.

The Minister highlighted that France permits entry even to those who have been vaccinated with Sinovac, provided that they got a Pfizer booster shot.

Along with this, this means that as soon as the Malaysian citizens have been vaccinated with the Sinovac have got a Pfizer booster shot offered by the authorities, they will be able to enter France without being subject to additional entry rules.

The Minister stated that the nation’s authorities did not expect their citizens to face travel restrictions when they decided to vaccinate them with Sinovac.

Those who want to get the Pfizer booster injection and travel to several European countries without restrictions must apply online. More details about the situation have yet to be published.

Furthermore, the European Union Member States generally accept only vaccination certificates that prove that the holder has been fully vaccinated with one of the vaccines that have been approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
