The Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Catherine Colonna, marked the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists. She hailed the work of journalists in high-risk zones. She also presented awards to several journalists for working and honoured them for their remarkable contributions.
Reportedly, The International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists is marked to honour and recognise the dedicated efforts and contributions of Journalists Worldwide. The Day focuses on crimes and violence against journalists and other communicators while practising or exercising their duties.
The Minister of Europe and Foreign Affairs in France, Catherine Colonna, also presented awards to several Journalists. She awarded the Anna Politkovskaya-Arman Soldin Prize for Courage in Journalism to Mexican journalist Marcela Turati and French-Afghan journalist Mortaza Behboudi.

Moving forward, The winner of the 2023 Prize is Marcela Turati. She is a freelance Journalist in Mexico, and she pursues her career relentlessly despite the risks that have taken the lives of too many Mexican Journalists.
Turati is best known for her investigation work on the disappearance of thousands of civilians in Mexico. She is also famous for her commitment to human rights and battle against Impunity.
