Paris lost three matches in a row for first time since 2020

PSG was defeated 1-0 in the first leg of the round of 16 UCL match yesterday at Parc des Princes. The game’s finest goal was scored in the 53rd minute by former Parisian Kingsley Coman.

Despite having a lethal offensive three in Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe, PSG was unable to break through Bayern’s strong defence. French Champions had now lost three straight games. Furthermore, PSG lost three crucial games in succession for the first time since 2020.

Because Mbappe missed PSG’s two losses to Pays de Cassel and Monacco, the team has struggled to win crucial games. Mbappe was brought on the field after the first half after being removed from the starting lineup due to an injury.

He executed an incredible dribble in the 82nd minute of the game while tackling Bayern’s defence and scoring. Sadly, the goal was called offside.

For PSG, the first half was really difficult. The Munich attacker never stopped attacking, making it tough for PSG to get control of the ball. Bayern had 54% of the ball during the game, compared to Paris’ 46%. Bayern executed 588 passes throughout the game, displaying excellent collaboration and coordination.

Speaking of PSG’s defence, they gave Bayern’s strikers a tough fight, making it impossible for them to score. Former Real Madrid captain and current PSG player Sergio Ramos once again displayed his brilliance.

Ramos insisted that it was not over despite the 1-0 loss to Bayern. PSG will face Bayern in Germany, so they are still in the game. He said this in reference to the return leg, implying that PSG would mount a great comeback at the Allianz Arena.

However, given that they were already trailed by one goal on the road, it would not be a simple task for Paris.

PSG supporters once more criticise Argentina’s World Cup winner Messi for underwhelming in pivotal contests. Again, Messi and Neymar were unable to score, which resulted in PSG’s defeat.

Following PSG’s defeat to Bayern, “Penalty for Argentina” is trending on Twitter as football fans once more criticise Messi for his bad play and FIFA’s biased decisions made at the FIFA World Cup, which will be held in Qatar in 2022.

Fans claim that FIFA officials gave Argentina penalties at the World Cup in a biased manner and without any justification. In the 90+2 minute of yesterday’s game, Benjamin Paward executed a terrible tackle on Messi, but PSG did not receive a penalty.

Once again, the incident sparked a social media controversy between Ronaldo and Messi supporters everywhere. In addition, PSG supporters expressed anger at Messi for being absent from the attacking position and showing laziness on the field.

Barcelona will play Manchester United in the Europa League in the upcoming huge encounter. They frequently face each other, which fuels their rivalry. Their most recent meeting occurred in the 2019 Champions League quarterfinal, where Barcelona defeated Manchester United 3-0 at Camp Nou and 1-0 at Old Trafford.
