PM Pierre mourns the loss of Cardinal Kelvin Felix, Archbishop Emeritus of Saint Lucia

Castries, Saint Lucia: Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J Pierre extended condolences on demise of Cardinal Kelvin Felix, Archbishop Emeritus of Castries. He stated that the news of passing away of such humble and peaceful soul has made a bitter Corpus Christi for him and the entire nation.

PM Pierre extended gratitude to Cardinal Kelvin Felix for his teachings and beliefs and stated that it was an honour for him to have been a congregant at his sermons. The leader of the nation extended his sincerest condolences to friends, family members, clergy and the church on demise of Cardinal Felix on behalf of the administration and people of Saint Lucia.

Cardinal Felix served the Roman Catholic Church and the people of Saint Lucia with his compassion and teaching for over 30 years. His spiritual guidance has always created a huge impact and touched the lives of several people.

Notably, Cardinal Kelvin Felix served as Archbishop of Saint Lucia from 1981 to 2008. During his tenure, he was a passionate advocate for education and social justice, who has established and managed several schools and social programs within the Archdiocese.

“May he rest in peace,” noted PM Philip Pierre.

Cardinal Kelvin Felix has always been a leading figure in the Caribbean religious community whose dedication to the church has left a huge mark on the faith of the citizens of Saint Lucia.

He life was a testament to faith, compassion and countless services to the people of the island nation. His leadership and commitment have played a significant role in contributing for the betterment of the society by providing hope and support to countless individuals and families.

The citizens of the island nation also mourned the loss of Cardinal Kelvin Felix, they took to their social media accounts and have expressed their grief.
