Poland: Europe & Western world must stand against upcoming threat, says PM Morawiecki

Amid the unrest between Ukraine and Russia, Poland Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has visited Kyiv on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, to stand with Ukraine during the rising danger and threat. He also exclaimed that entire Europe and the Western world should be united against the particular threat.

While informing about his visit on the Facebook post, PM Morawiecki emphasized,” I came to Kyiv today to personify the unity of Poland with Ukraine in order to face the risks and dangers that we all realize. So, this is the moment in which the whole of Europe and the Western world should be united together for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine”.

He also informed that he would meet the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenski also took part in a meeting with local Poles.

By condemning the steps taken by Berlin, the PM of Polish asserted,” Berlin has launched Nord Stream 2 and imposes a gun to Putin, through which Russia could blackmail the whole of Europe”.

Aftermath he considers, the launch of the Nord Stream 2 is a massive threat to the peace of entire Europe, also applied to German to change their policy and noted,” We jointly appeal to the Germans not to open this gas station as its exploitation would lead and pave the way for Russia to blackmail and create the situation of war against Europe.

Prime Minister further asserted that Europe have never witnessed earthquakes and volcanic eruption, but the write now scenario have created the feeling of living at the volcano’s foot.

So, there is a great need to stand with Ukraine and against the threatening Russian policies, PM added.

He further underscored that Poland is ready to provide its full support for both in gas issues and the issues related to the defence to Ukraine and also support its economic stability and highlighted,” We will support the country in terms of providing the military equipment to defend against the aggression from Russia.

Further, he exclaimed,” I sincerely hope that this threat will pass, but we have to be ready for the challenging scenarios. I wish this to Mr Prime Minister, Mr President and the entire Ukraine state that they will attain peace, security and stability which is currently essential for the eastern neighbour and the whole Europe”.
