South Sudan, Republic of Congo: Natalia Namaku Jelly had always known what she wanted to be – a medical laboratory scientist. Natalia Namaku was Born and raised in a small village in Yambio, South Sudan. She watched her community suffer from illnesses they could not diagnose or treat. It broke her heart to see them suffer, and she knew she wanted to do something to help them.

However, her dream was a challenging one to pursue. While growing up, Natalia’s family was very poor, and they could barely afford her education. But Natalia was a determined and resilient young lady who refused to let her circumstances hold her back. She worked tirelessly, studying hard daily and doing odd jobs to earn money for her school fees.

It was a long and arduous journey for Natalia, but eventually, Natalia’s hard work paid off. She was accepted into Clarke International University to pursue her dream course. Graduating from one of the most encouraging and best Universities was a moment of great joy and pride for her family and community, who had watched her struggle and overcome many challenges. As she worked towards her degree, Natalia became a source of inspiration to many in her community. Her resilience and determination are shining examples of what is possible when one refuses to give up on their dreams.

The People from her village always admired and looked up to her for what she had achieved, and she inspired many young people to go after their dreams, no matter how difficult or impossible they may seem.
Today, Natalia is on track to become a medical laboratory scientist, and her future is bright.

She knows there will be more challenges but is ready to face them head-on, just as she always has. Her story is one of resilience, determination, and inspiration, and it is a testament to the power of the human spirit to overcome even the toughest of odds. She is currently researching the Seroprevalence of Syphilis among HIV-infected individuals in Juba, South Sudan.

Natalia Namaku Jelly Jackson’s Journey truly reflects resilience and determination. Despite her challenges during her early education, Natalia never gave up on her dreams. Instead, she worked hard and persevered to achieve her goals.

Her passion for serving others, especially South Sudanese women, is evident through her pursuit of a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory. She intends to use her skills and knowledge to help address the health complications women face in her community.

In addition to her academic pursuits, Natalia is an entrepreneur and a cultural manager. Through Namaku Limited Company, she produces Cassava Flour and other local foods, providing a source of income for herself and others.

She also manages the local Azande dancing group, empowering young children to discover their talents and live joyful lives. This dancing group consists of teenagers majority of whom are refugees. She looks forward to registering the group in Kampala, Uganda, so that she can manage to raise school fees and living for these kids.

Natalia’s leadership skills and passion for service have earned her the position of Vice President of the South Sudanese Students’ Union in Uganda. Her story inspires many, showing that hard work and determination make anything possible.
