Realme Introduces Magnet Based Wireless Charging to Android

Inductive charging (also called wireless charging or wireless charging) is a type of wireless energy transfer. It uses electromagnetic induction to power portable devices. The most common application is the Qi wireless charging standard for smartphones, smartwatches, and tablets. Inductive charging is also used in vehicles, power tools, electric toothbrushes, and medical equipment. The laptop can be placed near a charging station or induction pad without the need for precise alignment or electrical contact with the base or socket. The inductive load is so named because it transfers energy through inductive coupling. First, the alternating current passes through the induction coil of the charging station or platform. Moving charges generate a magnetic field, and the strength of the magnetic field fluctuates with fluctuations in the amplitude of the current. This changing magnetic field generates an alternating current in the induction coil of the portable device, which is then converted to direct current through a rectifier. Finally, direct current charges the battery or provides working power.

Realme has launched a new device called Realme Flash, which it claims will be the first Android phone to use magnetic wireless charging. Although it appears to be the company’s version of the Apple MagSafe system for the iPhone 12 series, Realme has taken a different approach in terms of initial hardware. As reported by GSMArena and confirmed by The Verge, Realme will launch a magnetic wireless charger called MagDart, which is larger than Apple’s MagSafe CD. It is said that MagSafe’s charging speed exceeds 15W, making it the fastest magnetic charger in the world, but at the expense of the device being much thicker and requiring an active cooling fan. According to a report by Gizmochina last week, Realme is also developing a thinner MagDart charger that looks more like Apple’s MagSafe CD. According to GSMArena, Realme Flash will be a flagship phone equipped with the Snapdragon 888 processor.

The leaked phone rendering shows that at least one model will have 256GB of storage and 12GB of memory. A source familiar with Realme’s plan told The Verge that it might be announced next week. Realme has never provided wireless charging on any of its phones before, but it does sell Qi wireless chargers that can be used with accessories such as headsets. The sister brand Oppo has spent years using the technology after focusing on the proprietary VOOC wired fast-charging system, which is also used as the Dash Charge for various OnePlus phones.
