Spanish authorities nabs 7 people on suspicion of drug trafficking

Around seven people have been recently by the Spanish authorities in Marbella on suspicion of being members of a drug trafficking ring, including one Belgian national.
After conducting search options in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Spain, a total of seven individuals were arrested during the operation. The Belgian suspect was accused of being one of the group’s ringleaders.
In May of 2020, 556 kilograms of cocaine were discovered in Brazil, kicking off the police’s investigation. After this, an additional 2,300 kg were found in Antwerp and over 1,000 kilograms in Rotterdam, in the Netherlands.
Investigators then got to know that the drug traffickers were based in southern Spain, and they were eventually arrested at their property in Marbella.
