Teaching Assistant in France to Teachers to Open in France for Applications

France: The Teaching Assistant in France to Teachers, the newest initiative of the cultural services of the French Embassy, is launched in partnership with the Université de Nanterre and France Education International is announced to be open for applications on Friday, July 28, 2023.

As per the Update, the Teaching Assistant in France or TAPIF to Teachers is the teaching programme in France which provides students with the opportunity to work in France for seven months, teaching English to French students of all ages.

The Teaching Assistant in France or TAPIF to Teacher programme has effectively emerged as a powerful course involving teaching students and people with excellent professional skills and experiences.

Each year, more than 1,500 American citizens and permanent residents teach the course with their practical skills in public schools across all metropolitan France regions and France’s overseas departments such as French Guiana, Guadeloupe, Martinique and Réunion.

This program designed for TAPIF participants creates a funded pathway to careers in French language education for American teaching assistants. Launched in partnership with the Université de Nanterre and France Education International, this program is the first explicitly established for current teaching assistants. It adds to a growing list of program benefits.

Through an academic scholarship sponsored by the French Embassy and a particular online course developed especially for TAPIF participants by Université de Nanterre in Paris, this program empowers assistants to explore the field of education and take the next step in their career planning.

Participating in TAPIF to Teacher and TAPIF simultaneously engages participants in coursework and classroom teaching, allowing them to put their learning into practice.

Any member of the 2023-2024 cohort of TAPIF assistants, especially those interested in pursuing a career in French teaching, is encouraged to apply by Monday, September 18.
