How to play Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League?

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set in an open world supported Metropolis. The game features four playable characters: Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark. Although it can be played solo, the game also features a four-player cooperative multiplayer mode. Players can also switch between characters at will.  Meanwhile, the other characters are controlled by artificial intelligence, when played solo.

How was its setting?

The game is set in the universe previously developed by the Batman: Arkham series. It takes place in an open-world Metropolis, city of resident superhero, Superman.

Plot:

The first trailer portrays Brainiac assaulting Metropolis. Therefore, the government task force referred to as the Suicide Squad. They are sent by Amanda Waller to investigate and destroy the “Alpha Target”. After a fight with Brainiac’s minions, the team has a run-in with Superman. However, he is being mind-controlled by Brainiac, exposed as the Alpha Target.

How is its development?

In July 2010, A “hardcore violent” Suicide Squad game was first announced by then DC Comics chief creative officer Geoff Johns. In February 2012, he clarified that the game was in development. He said, “Because of the idea, you have a game where any of the main characters can conceivably die and it’s not a stunt.”Out of that some really cool story could come.”

At the end of Batman: Arkham Origins in 2013, the formation of the task force was teased. It was developed by WB Games Montreal. It featured a post-credits scene during which Deathstroke is asked by Amanda Waller to hitch the team. In Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate,  Deadshot and Bronze Tiger join the team with Bane into account.

There have been rumors suggesting that WB Games Montreal was working on a Suicide Squad game. But from the development team or publisher, no official announcement was made. Later, Jason Schreier from Kotaku revealed in  that the title was cancelled. The focus of the developer was to subsequent Batman game, centered on Damian Wayne. In August 2020, WB Games Montreal revealed the sport Gotham Knights.

Is the game going to be released in PS5?

Rocksteady Studios was first rumored to be working on a Superman-themed game, which they later debunked. On August 22, 2020, the first trailer for the game premiered at DC FanDome.

The plot of Batman: Arkham series would continue in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. This game is set in the “Arkhamverse”. Finally in 2022, the game is set to be released for Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
