Germany’s Leading nonprofit Organisation World Vision Deutschland recently shared a heart-wrenching story of Mariam, a ten-year-old girl from a small village in Aleppo, Syria, whose life took a devasting turn when a plane bombed her home.
With World Vision Deutschland’s help, ten-year-old Mariam could return to her school and look forward towards her dreams and aspirations.
World Vision Deutschland is Germany’s leading nonprofit organization that works effectively towards the nation’s and people’s sustainable development. The organization also aims to work and raise funds for those who lose their lives during disasters and provide them with shelters to live and look forward towards their dreams.
As per the World Vision Deutschland, discontinued education can impact a lot in one’s life. Stopped education also means stopped dreams and goals.
Mariam is a determined 10-year-old girl from a small village in Aleppo whose life took a devastating turn when a plane bombed her home.
Fortunately, Mariam was in school, but her once haven became a nightmare. As the chaos spread, panic spread like wildfire, and Mariam and her family were forced to flee, beginning a long journey of deportation.
As Mariam returned to school with the help of World Vision, she was able to look forward to her future filled with hope and renewed strength. At school, she met numerous friends and gained much essential knowledge. In addition to their teaching work, the teachers provide emotional support that traumatized children need.
“The longing to make my father proud is pervasive in my heart.” Although I never had the chance to meet him, I am determined to honour his memory through my accomplishments. I also want to be an example to my siblings, peers, and children. ” Mariam said.
While emphasizing her condition, World Vision Deutschland urged people to learn more about their projects and how they can help other Mariams.
