Your Chance is Finally Here to Get Verified on Twitter

After Twitter announced a review of the verification process late last year, it's almost ready to ship. Over the past several months, the company has been collecting public comments to ensure the new approach is not creating real problems and announces this week that options to be tested are finally eliminated. It's been a long time since Twitter made it easier to fix some of the checks in the old checker. You no longer need a bio or a header image to see a complete comment-based profile. Minimum subscriber requirements are now region-specific rather than country-specific.

The categories also became apparent: “News” became “News and Journalists,” and “Sport” now includes sports. Shortly, we will look at other categories, including those related to scientists. The ID will be removed for verified accounts if the account has been inactive or incomplete for too long. To terminate your account, you will need to provide a verified email or phone number, profile picture, and display name. If your account is on a cutting board, you will receive an email informing you of any obstacles to overcome.

Verified badges are not removed from the profiles of deceased users, and alerts are displayed for accounts. Twitter wants users who have repeatedly violated the platform’s rules to have the risk of removing the verified badge to improve user behavior. However, this is decided on an individual basis.

Starting this week, users can request confirmation from the Account Settings tab. Interested parties were asked to provide additional materials to answer questions and verify their identity. Twitter may respond to your application status within days or weeks. So don’t worry if you don’t get a response right away. Twitter should also make the app available to all users, and we will have more options in the coming weeks.
