Arlington National Cemetary honours soldiers at US Army’s 248th Birthday

US: The Arlington National Cemetary honoured Secretary of the Army Christine Wormuth, Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. James McConville, and Sergeant Major of the Army Michael Grinston, who participated in an Army Full Honors Wreath-Laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the US Army’s 248th Birthday on Thursday, June 15, 2023.

The Arlington National Cemetary, mainly one of the two cemeteries in the United States National Cemetary System, is maintained by the United States Army while celebrating to honour 248th Birthday. The United States Army took to their official Facebook handle recently to share glimpses and updates from the day.

As per the Update shared by the Arlington National Cemetary, Army Christine Wormuth, Chief of Staff of the Army Gen. James McConville, and Sergeant Major of the Army Michael Grinston participated in an Army Full Honours Wreath Laying ceremony of an unknown soldier who lost his life during performing his duties and serving for his nation, at the US Army’s 248th Birthday.

The Arlington National Ceremony honoured the soldiers for participating and engaging in all the rituals done during the 248th US Army Birthday and performing all their duties by serving and protecting their nation’s people.

While honouring the soldiers at the US Army 248th Birthday, The Arlington National Ceremony shared that US Army is older than the nation it defends. The US Army has made a difference in the history and founding of America and the defence of her democratic values. For 248 years, US Army Soldiers have transformed obstacles into possibilities that have helped build their nation and defend American values.

Further, they also expressed their pleasure and honoured the brave men and women who have actively shown their participation by answering the call to serve and make a difference by providing humanitarian aid and disaster relief and defending freedom at home and abroad.
