Around 35,000 young Europeans have chance to win free ticket to travel, says EU Commission

Around 35,000 young Europeans have the chance to win a free ticket to travel around Europe for the second time this year. They can apply via the European Youth Portal between 11 and 25 October, the EU Commission made an announcement on Monday.
The DiscoverEU initiative is aiming to help young people discover the European continent and make international contacts. “Promoting cultural exchanges through sustainable travel has never been more relevant,” said European Commissioner for Culture, Education and Youth Mariya Gabriel.
To be in with an opportunity of winning a travel pass, applicants must complete five quiz questions and an additional tiebreaker question on the Youth Site. The competition is also open to anyone born in 2004 (anyone turning 18 or has already turned 18 this year).
The winners will be able to travel around Europe for over 30 days between March 1, 2023, and February 29, 2024. They will also enjoy discounts on many other activities. A new application round is planned for March 2023. The European Youth Portal can be reached there.
