Roseau, Dominica: Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit was pleased to announce the launch of the construction phase of Thibaud Primary School on Wednesday. This work is being undertaken under the China Aid Project for Reconstruction of Schools in Dominica after Hurricane Maria.
The commencement of the construction project is a result of collaboration between Dominica and the People’s Republic of China for 20 years. The school is recognized as one of the six schools that were destroyed due to Hurricane Maria.
Upon completion, the school will serve as a Centre of Excellence in Special Education with additional facilities to nurture the talents of the children in various fields such as culture, performing arts, sports, science, and visual.
The Leader of Dominica took to his official social media handle (Facebook) to share glimpses of the ground-breaking ceremony of the school’s construction work.
