The announcement was made by Buckingham Palace at 5:30 PM, the certificate released by the National Archives of Scotland has shown that Queen Elizabeth II died on September 8 at 3:30 GMT.
The certificate was signed by Princess Anne, Elizabeth II’s daughter, who had accompanied her mother during her final hours.
Her eldest son, King Charles III, had arrived at Balmoral by midday, but her other sons Andrew and Edward, and Charle’s son William, did not arrive until late evening. William’s brother Harry did not arrive until much later.
