Denmark ranks second in world’s happiest country with 7.58 points

Today, the World Happiness Report was released on the International Day of Happiness. It ranks the life satisfaction and well-being level of the world’s population these days.

After Finland, Denmark took second place on the list of the world’s happiest people. Eight of the ten happiest nations were found in Europe, with Denmark scooping second place at 7.58 points.

Denmark’s status as the world’s second happiest country is due to more than just its politics, culture, or history. It is also a result of Denmark’s friendly attitude towards international students, which its citizens and government recognize as essential to a strong and successful country.

Finland is considered the happiest nation in the world for the fifth consecutive year, according to the 2022 World Happiness Report. The yearly study, released on Friday, March 18, 2022, which rates nations based on how happy their residents believe themselves to be, is followed by Denmark, Iceland, Switzerland, and the Netherlands.

Along with creating the rankings, the report’s authors’ experts came to the conclusion that these nations have not become less content because of the Covid epidemic.

The 11th annual World Happiness Report is based on surveys of people’s perceptions of their happiness as well as economic and social data. Based on an average of data collected over three years, it rates happiness on a scale of zero to ten.

The UK dropped two places to 19th — while the US jumped up one spot to 15th in the annual UN-sponsored index. France dropped out of the top 20.

Unfortunately, the UK has dropped to 19th place. The country has witnessed one of the biggest declines in happiness compared to before the COVID-19 pandemic, dropping to 18th on the global ranking. Researchers say the UK’s happy life score has fallen drastically since 2019.
