Dominica’s PM Skerrit praises PM Dickon Mitchell in his address at NDC rally in Grenada

Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica addressed participants of the NDC Convention Rally in Grenada. He appreciated Grenada’s Prime Minister’s Dickon Mitchell for his role in enhancing the organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) and improving the functioning of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).

The national democratic congress’s (NDC) rally was held in Grenada recently under the theme ‘Accelerating a Transformed NDC’. The event was attended by a large number of people from Caribbean countries.

While calling Dickon Mitchell a fearless leader, PM Skerrit stated, “Since assuming office the PM Dickon Mitchell proved his leadership skill with every action aimed at public welfare.”

“Moreover, we can call him a leader with a clear vision for ensuring progress, economic development as well as delivery of justice. He takes every decision with commitment to its implementation”, said PM Skerrit.

At the same time while expressing his gratitude towards Prime Minister Mitchell, PM Skerrit underlined, “The role of Prime Minister Mitchell to tackle challenges caused by Hurricane Maria 2024 was commendable.

Prime Minister Mitchell while acting quickly helped affected families alongwith efforts to their rehabilitation.”

Moreover, the Dominican leader while talking about the theme of the rally stated, “Accelerating a Transformed NDC” said it reflected the intent of the party towards progress and overall development and social welfare.

Some of the decisions taken under Mitchell’s leadership such as removing school fees and addressing outstanding pension payments for public officers are some examples aligned with the theme of rally and agenda of NDC as well.

PM Skerrit in his address also shed light on some other initiatives of Mitchell’s administration such as securing $44,000,000 payout, activating debt suspension, digital transformation, technology advancement etc.

Similarly, PM Mitchell’s efforts to strengthen international relations was another achievement which found mention in the address of PM Skerrit.

PM Skerrit at the end of his speech urged Grenada’s public to have patience as some peoples are expecting overnight transformation. Although it is natural that from a young leader the public always has high expectations, but patience is must to see long lasting results.
