Georgia reports 19,098 new COVID-19 cases

On Sunday, February 6, 2022, a total of 19,098 people were exposed to the deadly viral infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 over the past 24 hours in Georgia.

On the other hand, a total of 38 people have lost their lives due to the viral infection caused by the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours in the country.

As per the status of the recoveries, the number of patients who have recovered from the deadly viral infection and were discharged from the hospital facilities was 17,531 over the past 24 hours in Georgia.

With the emergence of the new cases of the COVID-19 viral infection, the positive rate of the cases of the contagious mutant has been reached at 30.65 percent over the past week.

The number of confirmed cases of the viral infection caused by the novel coronavirus have been reached at 209,012 since the pandemic has outbreak in the country.

Over the past 24 hours, a total of 52,362 samples of the COVID-19 viral infection have been processed with the tests against the novel coronavirus in Georgia. Out of these test samples of the COVID-19 viral infection, a total of 29,383 samples have been processed with the test of the novel coronavirus called rapid antigen tests.

On the other hand, the remaining 22,979 samples of the COVID-19 have been processed by the test named by the PCR test of the novel coronavirus over the past 24 hours in Georgia.

As per the status of recovery, a total of 1,089,091 people have been received from the viral infection caused by the novel coronavirus since the pandemic has emerged. On the other hand, a total of 15,212 people have succumbed to the viral disease caused by the contagious mutant so far.

As per the vaccination status, a total of 1,339,688 people have received their first jab of the vaccine against the novel coronavirus since the vaccination drive has started in the country. On the other hand, a total of 1,226,924 people have received their required doses of the vaccine against the COVID-19 viral infection and are fully immunised.
