German Embassy in Manila celebrates 10th anniversary of “Triple Win” project

The German Embassy in Manila posted an update on Friday, March 17, 2023, marking the 10th Anniversary of Germany’s “Triple Win” project. The Triple landmark project from the Federal Employment Agency and GIZ has facilitated the migration of healthcare workers to Germany from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Tunisia, Indonesia, India, and the Philippines.

To celebrate the project’s success in the Philippines and learn about Jimmy Carpon’s experience, one of the first Filipino nurses who joined the program in 2014. Jimmy currently works and resides in Göttingen at the Universitätsmedizin Göttingen International Nurses Office. The German Embassy in Manila sincerely congratulates and hopes for the continued support of all immigrant healthcare workers participating in the program.

Reportedly, “This year, Jimmy officially celebrated his 9th year in Germany. She arrived last February 17, 2014, through the Triple Win Project of GIZ/ZAV and POEA. to the first batch of Pinoy Nurses; She wished Happy Anniversary!

Also, she further says, “If there are times you feel sad, just remember, you have dreamed about where you are now”.”If there are times you feel happy, share it with them.”as We all have challenges to face and more to come. And never forget to look back and remember your family and friends who give you motivation. The integration takes time. From my experience, we just need time and patience then everything will follow. She says, “We started with mixed feelings and emotions about leaving what we had in our country and our loved ones and friends to begin a new chapter.”

“We bring sunshine to our stations, and Filipinos are well-known as world-class healthcare professionals with TLC or Tender Loving Care. We got to know new friends or even found a new family and loved ones in Germany as our new home”.

Lastly, the German word ‘Lebenslanges Lernen’ means a lifelong learning process. Therefore, the integration of our Filipino nurses is thriving and it is still ongoing. Germany and the Philippines share tolerance, acceptance, and, lastly, openness. Last year Jimmy received his German citizenship. This is also a testimony of his integration within Germany. She says he may be a German citizen now but will still be Filipino and German by heart.”
