Hong Kong finally lift mandatory hotel quarantine for travelers from abroad

Hong Kong has finalized to lift the mandatory hotel quarantine for travellers from abroad. The authorities have made this known, finally ending more than two years of international isolation for the world’s financial centre. The new rules take effect on Monday.
Travellers will however still be screened on arrival and they will also not be allowed to visit, among other things, bars or restaurants for the first three days.
After a negative test on the 4th day, they will receive a blue code in the corona app, allowing them to move freely. Another test will follow on the sixth day.
The long-awaited decision may bring a sigh of relief to Hong Kong residents and businesses. These had long urged the authorities to follow the global trend and allow unrestricted travel again.
