India: G20 Delegates visits Historical Polo Market in Srinagar on 3rd day of Group Tourism Meeting

J&K, Srinagar: The Foreign Delegates of the G20 visited the historical polo market in Srinagar on the 3rd day of the Tourism Group Meeting on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, and expressed their pleasure and excitement while roaming the local market.

The Foreign Delegates of the G20 Tourism Group Meeting attended the three-day meeting, from Monday, May 22, 2023, to Wednesday, May 24, 2023, primarily focusing on tourism and other developments between the G20 nations.

On the three days visit, the G20 delegates got to know and experience the various cultures, traditions and diversification of the Kashmir valley; on Tuesday, May 23, the delegates experienced the beautiful Shikara ride following the next day, the last and 3rd day of the tourism group meeting, the delegates experienced the beauty and diversity of the local markets.

The delegates were seen as mesmerised by the ethnicity and diversification of the Srinagar market and were also seen roaming around the whole market, visiting various shops and talking with the residents at Srinagar; the delegates called it a unique experience and also appealed to the tourists from all over the world to visit Kashmir.

They also praised the people of Kashmir and shared that they are adorable and welcoming; moving forward, the delegates expressed their pleasure and happiness and shared several statements about their visit and experience at the G20 summit in India.

A Korean Delegate shared, “It’s a unique experience to be in this market; of course, this summit will boost tourism in Kashmir, and we Koreans strongly support India’s G20 Presidency”.

A Nigerian Delegate shared that she believed that tourism would bring financial stabilisation in Kashmir and also, at the same time, expressed her wish to visit the Taj Mahal if she ever visits India back. Following that, a Brazilian Delegate, Gustavo, Said, “I love it; a beautiful place, a nice experience, really enjoying it”.
