Paris: PSG to return at Parc des Princes after Doha and Riyadh tour

After a trip to Doha and Riyadh, the French Champions Paris Saint-Germain are getting ready to return to Le Parc des Princes. The club appreciated both nations for organising the tour, which provided Parisians with unforgettable experiences.

PSG posted the following on their social media: “From Doha to Riyadh, it has been a fantastic journey. Doha and Riyadh, thank you for the warm welcome. We’ll talk soon.

The French Cup match against Pays de Cassel is scheduled for January 24. Thus, the French Champions have a busy month ahead of them. PSG will play Reims on January 30, Montpellier on February 2, Toulouse on February 5, and Monaco on February 12 in Ligue 1.

On February 15, the UEFA Champions League will also resume, and in the round of 16 of the competition, Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich will square off again. Both of these clubs will compete against one another in the UCL round of 16 for the second time.

The two last met during the UCL season of 2021–2022. PSG defeated Bayern by the away goal rule after a 3-3 final score. Before 2021, they squared off in the UCL final, with Bayern beating PSG and ending the French champions’ hopes of winning the tournament’s first championship.

Despite playing with one player less and the overwhelming dominance unleashed by Cristiano Ronaldo, PSG scored five goals against Al-Nassr, Al Hilal XI on January 19 in Riyadh to successfully win the season cup.

Even though it was a friendly game, King Fahd International Stadium’s atmosphere was comparable to a World Cup final. The match brought up memories of the rivalry between Ronaldo and Messi, two football legends.

Once more, the best football players in the world competed in an amazing contest. In the third minute of the game, the world cup winner scored the game’s first goal. Ronaldo scored twice and brought fierce competition to the French Champions by himself.

Cristiano Ronaldo was seen talking with his former Real Madrid colleagues Sergio Ramos and Navas after the game. Before the match, he hugged Messi and frequently fought with him to get possession of the ball.

This matchup between the two greatest players in football history was likely their final one. They last faced off on December 9 in a Champions League group stage game at Camp Nou.

In an effort to lure the Argentine superstar to the Middle East after Al Nassr signed Ronaldo on December 30 by giving him $214 million per year, Club Al Hilal also made an offer to the player of $430 million per year. The Portuguese became the highest-paid player in football history as a result of the agreement.

If Messi accepted Al Hilal’s offer, their competition would continue in the future on a different platform, and he would beat Ronaldo’s record for most money received by receiving double. While Messi’s deal with PSG expires on June 23, Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr runs through 2026.

The Argentine may accept Al-invitation Hilal to end his remarkable career playing alongside his rival after accomplishing everything in football.
