PM Terrance Drew visits Warner Park Stadium, applauds Sugar boyz for two-goal victory

Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis: Terrance Drew, prime Minister of the Federation of St Kitts and Nevis, who also is a sports lover, recently travelled with some of his colleagues to Warner Park Stadium in Basseterre, St Kitts and Nevis.

PM Drew shared clips of his visit on his official Facebook page and said, “Greetings. Here’s a glimpse of my visit. So, my colleagues and I went to Warner Park Stadium to watch the Sugar Boys play Aruba.

He also praised Sugar Boys on their spectacular triumph from the stadium. Minister Drew wrote congrats to the Sugar Boys on his Facebook page. He emphasizes that Saint Kitts and Nevis have earned a spot in the 2023 Gold Cup Preliminaries.

In addition,  Denzil Douglas, the former prime Minister of St Kitts and Nevis, who also travelled to the stadium with Prime Minister Drew, congratulated the team on social media.  He wrote, “CONGRATULATIONS SUGAR BOYZ”.

Former PM Douglas continued by saying that the Sugar Boys, who won Group B of League C of the Concacaf Nations League presented by Qatar Airways, had qualified for the CONCACAF Gold Cup Preliminaries.

He mentions the two goals scorers, Keithroy Freeman of the SL Horsford and St Paul’s FC, who brought success to their team. PM Douglas appreciated them and wished them success in their upcoming games.

The people of St Kitts and Nevis also greeted the squad and congratulated them for their amazing achievement in the comment section of PM Drew and former PM Douglas.

One social media user commented, “Congratulations to the sugar Guys.” Congrats are in order, the third user said. We prevailed”.
