Spain shortens period of vaccination certificate
As per the recommendation of the European Union Commission, the government of Spain has announced that from February 1, 2022, the vaccination certificates which exhibits the immunisation of the people against the novel coronavirus formed within the 270 days will be recognised.
Hence, as per the above provision, all persons, irrespective of their country of origin, need to have to be immunised against the Covid- 19 pandemic, and also if they have received their shots more than nine months ago, then they are not permitted to enter the country. So, to make an entry in Spain, people with more than nine months ago vaccination certificates will have to receive their booster jabs against the contagious mutant.
Moreover, the certificates which will prove that person has received their booster jabs will be considered only if more than 14 days have passed to the administration of dose against the deadly d virus. Moreover, each form will be for a single trip, personal and non-transferable.
“The travellers wished to travel to Spain needs a valid vaccination certificate, from February 1, 2022, the certificate should be issued by competent authorities of the country of origin at least 14 days after the date of receiving the last jab pf the entire course of immunisation; moreover, the final jab of the vaccination should not be more than 270 days ago”, as per the statement of the government.
Further, Spain has recently differentiated the countries in the respective lists, which are based on epidemiological situations. The name of the two lists is risk list and high-risk list.
While the countries which are under the risk list such as European Union and Schengen areas countries are not required to present any additional documents, providing should have valid vaccination pass. The other countries which are under high risk have to present the entry pass regardless of having vaccine certificates.
With Spain, there are many other countries such as Schengen and the EU, which have also declared that they would also reduce the validity of vaccinated certificates.
